Manama: Qatar Chamber participated in the International Day of Social Responsibility activities, which coincided with the International Forum for Sustainable Economy 2026. The event took place in Manama and was organized by the Regional Network for Social Responsibility, in collaboration with UNIDO's Investment and Technology Promotion Office and the Union of Arab Chambers.
According to Qatar News Agency, during the event, Qatar Chamber was honored for its efforts in promoting corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainable practices. The recognition was part of the 2026 Arab CSR Award - 4th Edition, which was held during the International Day of Social Responsibility activities.
Hussein Al Abdulghani, Director of the Administrative and Financial Affairs Department at Qatar Chamber, stated that the recognition reflects the Chamber's commitment to fostering a culture of CSR and embedding sustainability principles within the business sector. He noted that corporate social responsibility is a crucial pillar for private sector institutions in supporting development and serving the community.
He further highlighted the Chamber's encouragement of companies to adopt sustainable and responsible practices, stating that this recognition serves as an incentive to advance these efforts and strengthen the private sector's role in delivering initiatives with a positive and lasting impact.
