Qatar Foundation and DAAM Collaborate to Enhance Rasekh Initiative

Doha: Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF) and the Social and Sport Contribution Fund (DAAM) have signed a funding agreement to support the “Rasekh” initiative. This collaboration aims to fortify national partnerships that support high-quality international education, which is intrinsically linked to the Arabic language, deeply rooted in identity and values, and receptive to global perspectives.

According to Qatar News Agency, the agreement was signed during the Rasekh Strategic Forum at Multaqa, the Education City Student Center. During the event, the Rasekh Framework and Accreditation system was launched along with the announcement of the first participating schools. DAAM’s support is expected to bolster Rasekh’s efforts to embed language, identity, and values within the daily learning experiences at QF schools and international schools in Qatar and the region.

The Social and Sport Contribution Fund (DAAM) will provide financial backing to the Rasekh initiative, reinforcing its mission to establish international education connected to the Arabic language and rooted in cultural identity while remaining open to the world. Rasekh serves as an educational framework that aligns international education with local contexts by enhancing the role of Arabic in learning, localizing international curricula, integrating ethical values and citizenship into school life, and linking knowledge with local and global innovation.

QF emphasized that the partnership with DAAM will aid in developing Rasekh educational resources, building teaching capacity, implementing the Rasekh Framework and Accreditation system, and expanding school participation in the initiative. Sheikha Noof Ahmed bin Saif Al Thani, Vice President for Strategic Educational Initiatives at QF’s Pre-University Education, remarked that the partnership with DAAM underscores the importance of nurturing students who are confident in their language, identity, and values.

Through Rasekh, QF collaborates with schools to offer international education connected to the community, empowering students to think, express, and innovate confidently, and engage with the world from a strong foundation. Hassan Yousef Al Obaidly, Director of Programs at DAAM, stated that their support for Rasekh reflects the Fund’s belief in the significance of investing in youth and strengthening their connection to national values and cultural identity, as they are fundamental to the future of society. The initiative exemplifies purposeful partnerships that prepare an aware generation, grounded in its values and capable of contributing effectively to national development.
