Qatar Honored at Arab Youth Leaders Forum for Initiatives in Volunteering and Cooperation

Cairo:Qatar participated in the second Arab Youth Leaders Forum at the Arab League General Secretariat headquarters on Tuesday.

According to Qatar News Agency, the forum, lasting two days, is organized in partnership with the Arab Youth Council for Integrated Development. Qatar's delegation was led by HE Sheikh Jassim bin Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Al-Thani, the Ambassador to Egypt and Permanent Representative to the Arab League.

During the forum's opening session, HE Sheikh Jassim received the Pioneers of Joint Arab Action Medal from the Arab Youth Council for Integrated Development. The award recognizes his efforts in fostering Arab cooperation and communication and supporting initiatives to enhance solidarity and joint action.

Additionally, Qatar's Ministry of Sports and Youth was honored for its Fazaa Al Adaam Youth initiative. This program is a volunteer and humanitarian effort aimed at preparing Qatari youth for roles in community and development work, while also promoting a culture of volunteering and social responsibility.

The forum aims to spotlight the contributions of young leaders and civil society organizations in supporting their countries, enhancing security and stability, and exploring joint Arab action experiences. It seeks to develop strategies to bolster cooperation among young Arab leaders, with discussions focusing on economic, cultural, and social collaboration, as well as the involvement of youth in tackling regional challenges.

The event gathers approximately 300 participants, including youth leaders, public figures, specialists, media professionals, and influencers. Representatives from civil society organizations, research and cultural centers, development institutions, ministries, entrepreneurship associations, and universities from 22 Arab countries are also in attendance.
