Qatar Hosts Iftar Banquet and Diplomatic Meetings to Strengthen Ties

Doha: HH The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani hosted an Iftar banquet at Lusail Palace in honor of heads of diplomatic missions accredited to the State of Qatar. The event was attended by ambassadors of Qatar abroad and high-ranking officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, marking the occasion of the Holy Month of Ramadan.

According to Qatar News Agency, HH the Amir also sent a cable of congratulations to HE President of the Republic of Mauritius Dharambeer Gokhool on the occasion of Mauritius' National Day. Similarly, HH the Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Thani and HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani extended their congratulations to Mauritius' leaders on this significant day.

HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani chaired the Cabinet's regular meeting on Wednesday morning. On the same day, Qatar hosted a high-profile meeting involving key diplomatic figures from Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the UAE, Palestine, and the United States, aimed at discussing regional matters.

The State of Qatar also expressed support for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's initiative to host talks between the United States and Ukraine, hoping it would contribute to resolving the ongoing crisis in Ukraine.

In other developments, Assistant Undersecretary for Social Development Affairs Fahd Mohammed Al Khayarin met with WHO Regional Director Dr. Hanan Hassan Balkhy to discuss cooperation in enhancing services for people with disabilities and the elderly.
