Qatar Leads Preparations for GCC Joint Security Drill

Doha: The State of Qatar chaired the third meeting of the preparation and planning cell for the joint mobilization exercise of the security agencies of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states, known as Arabian Gulf Security 4. The meeting saw participation from representatives of the security agencies of all GCC countries.

According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting was led by Brig. Mubarak Sherida Al Kaabi, Assistant Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) for Administration and Supply, who also serves as Vice Chairman of the Supreme Committee for the mobilization exercise. This meeting is part of the ongoing preparations as Qatar gears up to host the "Arabian Gulf Security 4" exercise, which is set to commence in early 2026.

The primary objective of the exercise is to enhance field coordination and augment the level of joint readiness to tackle security challenges effectively. The meeting focused on reviewing the executive plans and preparation stages necessary to ensure the exercise's success and to achieve its strategic objectives.
