Doha:The receipt of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) flag marks a historic moment for Qatari sports, setting the stage for the extensive preparations needed to host the Doha 2030 21st Asian Games, according to Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) First Vice President Mohammed bin Yousef Al Mana.
According to Qatar News Agency, Al Mana emphasized Qatar's aspiration to organize an extraordinary and unprecedented edition of the Asian Games, showcasing its efficiency and expertise in hosting major sporting events.
Reflecting on past successes, Al Mana recalled the 2006 Asian Games, which helped build and strengthen Qatar's organizational capacities and national workforce expertise.
The flag handover ceremony, Al Mana noted, symbolizes a significant responsibility for Qatar towards the Asian sports community. The upcoming phase will involve accelerated efforts and close coordination with the OCA and relevant sports authorities to ensure optimal preparations.
