Qatar Teams Triumph at Arab Robotics and AI Championship in Tunisia

Tunis: The Qatari delegation participating in the 16th edition of the Arab Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Championship held in Tunisia from April 10-14 achieved outstanding results that reflected the level of progress witnessed by the Qatari teams participating in the championship's competitions.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Qatar Technical School for Girls team secured first place in the robot arm competition. The Al Wakra Secondary School for Boys team claimed first place in the ball collecting competition in the beginner category, while the Ibin Seena Secondary School for Boys team achieved second place in the same competition's advanced category.

The Omar Bin Al Khattab Secondary School for Boys team won first place in the line tracing competition in the advanced category, and the Muath Bin Jabal Primary School team also took first place in the beginner category of the same competition. Additionally, the Qatar Science and Technology Secondary School for Boys team was awarded the Best Programming Award in the Sumo competition in the advanced category.

Fatima Al Mohannadi, member of the administrative board and representative of the State of Qatar in the robotics competitions of the Arab Robotics and AI Association, as well as a member of the championship's supreme organizing committee, commented on Qatar's participation. She noted that the current edition of the championship featured the robot arm competition for the first time. Al Mohannadi highlighted that this inclusion was based on a proposal submitted by the Qatar Scientific Club and was officially approved by the Arab Robotics and AI Association, as announced during the closing ceremony of the Schools Robotics Championship held in Doha in February.
