Qatar Women’s Sports Committee Highlights Upcoming Fatima bint Mubarak Women’s Sports Award

Doha: The Qatar Women's Sports Committee recently organized an introductory workshop to discuss the ninth edition of the Fatima bint Mubarak Women's Sports Award, set for 2025. The event was hosted at the Qatar Olympic Committee's headquarters and included participation from a delegation of the award's organizing committee based in the United Arab Emirates. Additionally, the workshop was attended by athletes, administrators, and representatives from various Qatari sports federations.

According to Qatar News Agency, Assistant Secretary of the Women's Sports Committee, Maha Yousef Al Abduljabbar, described the award as a pioneering Arab initiative aimed at empowering women in sports. She emphasized Qatar's continuous efforts to enhance women's athletics and support female athletes across multiple disciplines.

Al Abduljabbar also highlighted the advancements in women's sports in Qatar, referencing achievements and participation in both regional and international arenas. She expressed optimism that Qatari athletes would continue to achieve excellence and secure accolades through the award.

Executive Director of the Qatar Women's Sport Committee, Amna Al Qasimi, urged all Qatari athletes, administrators, and coaches to actively participate in the upcoming edition. She stressed the importance of demonstrating the strength and growth of women's sports in Qatar.
