Doha: Qatari newspapers on Monday highlighted the State of Qatar’s ongoing emphasis on dialogue and wisdom in addressing regional tensions. The editorials underscored Qatar’s commitment to curbing hostile actions that could lead to escalation and its significant efforts to support de-escalation initiatives, promoting both regional and international security and stability.
According to Qatar News Agency, Al-Sharq newspaper pointed out that Qatar continues to prioritize dialogue in its communications and actions amid the current regional escalation. The newspaper called for an end to unjustified Iranian attacks on its territory and neighboring countries, warning of the threats these pose to regional security and stability. It emphasized that any targeting of vital infrastructure such as water, food, and energy facilities could have severe consequences for food and energy security, freedom of navigation, and environmental safety.
Al-Sharq concluded by stressing the importance of joint action to maintain global energy security and preserve regional stability in a sustainable manner, reflecting Qatar’s commitment to responsible action and cooperation with the international community to ensure security and peace.
In its editorial, Al-Watan newspaper affirmed Qatar’s continuous efforts to support de-escalation and peaceful initiatives, promoting security and stability regionally and internationally. Highlighting the escalation in the region, the newspaper cited HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani’s warnings against targeting vital infrastructure. The editorial stressed the need for strengthened coordination, joint efforts, and a return to negotiations to ensure global energy security and regional stability.
