Qatari Newspapers Highlight Strengthening Ties with Syria Through Official Talks


Doha: In their Wednesday editorials, Qatari newspapers focused on the official talks held between HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and HE President of the Syrian Arab Republic Ahmed Al Sharaa. The discussions, which took place at the Amiri Diwan on Tuesday, were seen as a significant step toward enhancing bilateral cooperation between Qatar and Syria.



According to Qatar News Agency, Al-Sharq newspaper emphasized that the talks reaffirm both nations’ commitment to developing bilateral relations and enhancing joint coordination to benefit both countries and their populations. The discussions covered a wide range of cooperation areas and addressed key regional and international developments, with the potential to elevate ties between Qatar and Syria.



Al-Sharq also highlighted Qatar’s consistent support for the Syrian people during challenging times, its backing of their legitimate demands, and its continued initiatives in supporting Syria’s transition process. Similarly, Al-Watan newspaper reported on the official talks session at the Amiri Diwan, where the leaders of Qatar and Syria reviewed bilateral relations and explored ways to enhance them, particularly in the political and diplomatic fields. Al-Watan underscored the strong and deeply rooted relations between the two countries, emphasizing Qatar’s unwavering support for the Syrian people and their aspirations.
