Doha: Qatar Central Bank (QCB) has issued treasury bills worth QR 400 million with maturities spanning 7 to 364 days.
According to Qatar News Agency, QCB announced on its social media platform "X" that the latest issuances include QR 100 million for a 7-day term, a new issue with an interest rate of 4.351 percent. Another QR 100 million was allocated for a 28-day term, reopening an existing issue with an interest rate of 4.360 percent. In addition, QR 50 million was issued for a 98-day term with an interest rate of 4.252 percent, QR 50 million for a 189-day term at 4.140 percent, QR 50 million for a 273-day term at 4.060 percent, and QR 50 million for a 364-day term, a new issue with an interest rate of 3.992 percent.
QCB further highlighted that the total bids for these treasury bills reached QR 1.2 billion, showcasing a strong demand in the financial market. This issuance reflects QCB's ongoing efforts to manage liquidity in the banking system and provide a reliable investment avenue for short-term investors.
