QC’s Somalia Office Implements 300 Projects in 2024 Totaling Over QR 40 Million


Doha: Qatar Charity (QC) announced Sunday its Somalia office had implemented around 300 humanitarian and development projects in 2024, totaling over QR 40 million.



According to Qatar News Agency, the projects benefited over 600,000 people across various regions in the eastern African nation. The office also signed several cooperation and partnership agreements with UN and international organizations and relevant government bodies. These collaborations contributed to coordinating efforts and enhancing the impact of its projects and aid.



The implemented projects spanned multiple sectors, including water and sanitation, food security, health, education, social welfare, economic empowerment, and social housing. These efforts were part of QC’s comprehensive response to address the humanitarian challenges caused by ongoing crises in Somalia. This includes providing humanitarian aid and rehabilitating infrastructure amid the successive disasters of drought, floods, and conflicts.
