QF Hosts BilAraby’s Inaugural Summit Saturday


Doha: The BilAraby initiative, launched by Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF), has announced its inaugural summit to be held on April 19 and 20 at the Education City Student Center. The event will feature a host of local and international entities, aiming to highlight efforts to enhance the status of the Arabic language and support Arab creativity in innovation, culture, and youth empowerment.



According to Qatar News Agency, over the two-day summit, the initiative will host more than 20 lectures and 12 exploratory sessions addressing diverse topics, including sustainability, artificial intelligence, medicine, programming, arts, the aesthetics of the Arabic language, and space exploration. The event will also feature interactive displays and discussions on developing Arabic content and fostering innovation in the Arabic language, along with interactive spaces showcasing cultural and intellectual diversity.



The summit will include artistic and cultural performances celebrating Arab heritage, with appearances by Tunisian artist Lotfi Bouchnak, Yemeni blogger Fida Al Khashi, and Egyptian maestro Mustafa Said. Additionally, a panel discussion will shed light on the present and future of Arabic podcasts.



The event will host ten partners from across the Arab world, contributing to institutional collaboration to support Arabic content and empower creatives to express their ideas in their native language.



Head of Communications and Executive Affairs at Qatar Debate Center Aisha Al Nasr commented that they value their constructive partnerships with BilAraby initiative, which enriches the summit with unique contributions and creative activities. She added that they, together, share an ambitious vision to utilize arts and digital platforms to enhance the vibrancy of the Arabic language in the digital age and enrich dialogue on contemporary issues.



She stressed that through these partnerships, they aim to transform the summit’s activities into a creative lab that blends the authenticity of the Arabic language with future aspirations, expanding avenues for collaboration to reinforce shared values and foster creativity and innovation across various fields.
