Doha: The Qatar Football Association (QFA) Refereeing Department has successfully concluded its Elite Referees Camp, which took place from August 7 to 18. The camp saw participation from several leading lecturers and experts in the field, aiming to prepare referees for the upcoming season. According to Qatar News Agency, the camp's program was comprehensive, covering various aspects of refereeing. It included theoretical lectures, practical and physical training, as well as psychological preparation. The agenda also featured explanations and discussions on the Laws of the Game, practical applications, and field exercises designed to develop technical and physical skills, and to improve decision-making speed and accuracy in refereeing situations. At the conclusion of the camp, referees underwent a written test on the Laws of the Game to evaluate their understanding and the benefits gained from the training. QFA Referees Committee Chairman Hani Taleb Ballan remarked on the great efforts made by referees durin g the camp, emphasizing the importance of utilizing the experience gained and maintaining their developed level of expertise. He encouraged referees to continue honing their skills to meet the high standards and aspirations of the QFA and its Referees Committee. Jonathan Lardot, Technical Director of the Professional Referee Department at the Royal Belgian Football Association (RBFA), expressed his satisfaction in participating in the camp. He praised the organizational, technical, and logistical standards of the event, highlighting Qatar's leadership in delivering world-class standards in organizing sporting gatherings.
