Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index saw an increase of 13.60 points, or 0.14%, reaching 10,036 points at the start of Wednesday's trading session. The uptick was supported by gains in four key sectors.
According to Qatar News Agency, the sectors contributing to the index's rise included Transportation, which increased by 0.72%, Industrials with a rise of 0.25%, Consumer Goods and Services up by 0.20%, and Banks and Financial Services which showed a 0.19% increase. However, some sectors experienced declines, with Telecoms decreasing by 1.29%, Real Estate by 0.41%, and Insurance slightly down by 0.08%.
At approximately 10:00 am, the market activity was significant, with QSE recording 3,688 transactions. The total value of these transactions amounted to QR 40.264 million, involving 22.287 million shares being traded.
