QSE Index Opens Higher as Most Sectors Record Gains


Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index opened higher on Tuesday, registering an increase of 49.53 points, or 0.47%, to reach 10,674 points compared to the previous session’s close. This upward movement was supported by positive performances across most sectors.



According to Qatar News Agency, market data highlighted gains in several sectors. The Real Estate sector saw an increase of 1.06%, while the Consumer Goods and Services sector rose by 0.74%. The Industrials sector also experienced a growth of 0.72%, with the Transportation sector following closely with a gain of 0.56%. The Banks and Financial Services sector recorded a modest gain of 0.40%. In contrast, the Telecoms sector posted a decline of 0.40%, and the Insurance sector saw a decrease of 0.53%.



By 10:00 am, the trading turnover had reached QAR 133.411 million, with 60.977 million shares traded across 5,518 transactions.
