QSE Index Rises 0.03% at Start of Trading


Doha: Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index rose slightly at the beginning of Tuesday’s trading by 0.03%, gaining 2.72 points to reach 10,811 points, compared to the previous session’s close, supported by four sectors.



According to Qatar News Agency, figures from QSE showed positive performances in the Insurance (+1.06%), Telecoms (+0.27%), Industrials (+0.16%), and Transportation (+0.10%) sectors. Meanwhile, the Banking and Financial Services sector saw a negative performance with a decline of 0.07%, while the Consumer Goods and Services sector declined by 0.08% and Real Estate by 0.37%.



At 10:00 a.m., QSE recorded 2,076 transactions worth QR 39.829 million, distributed over 28.242 million shares.
