Doha: The general index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) experienced an increase of 13.39 points, or 0.13%, as trading commenced on Monday, reaching 10,597 points compared to its previous close.
According to Qatar News Agency, the QSE index was buoyed by the performance of four sectors. The Banks and Financial Services sector saw an increase of 0.30%, while Industrials rose by 0.17%. Additionally, both the Insurance and Consumer Goods and Services sectors recorded a 0.09% rise. Despite these gains, the index faced downward pressure from declines in the Transportation sector, which decreased by 0.29%, and the Real Estate sector, which fell by 0.78%.
By 10:00 am, trading activity included 22.557 million shares exchanged through 1,351 transactions, with a total trading value reaching QR 45.431 million.
