Beirut: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index experienced an increase at the beginning of Sunday's trading session, rising by 1.02%. This gain of 112.32 points brought the index to 11,081 points, a significant improvement compared to the previous session's close, supported by positive performances across all sectors.
According to Qatar News Agency, the market data indicated broad-based gains with notable increases in several sectors. Banks and Financial Services led the way with a rise of 1.43%, followed by Transportation at 1.14%. Other sectors also contributed to the overall positive performance, with Industrials up by 0.57%, Consumer Goods and Services by 0.43%, Real Estate by 0.42%, Telecoms by 0.27%, and Insurance by 0.04%.
By 10:00 am, the QSE had reported a turnover of QR 68.743 million, with 30.182 million shares changing hands across 6,134 transactions, reflecting a strong start to the trading day.
