Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index experienced a slight rise at the start of trading on Tuesday, gaining 10.81 points, or 0.10%, to reach 10,846 points in comparison to its last closing.
According to Qatar News Agency, the positive movement was driven by gains in five sectors. The Consumer Goods and Services sector led with an increase of 0.50%, followed by Industrials which rose by 0.23%. The Banks and Financial Services sector saw a rise of 0.08%, while Transportation and Insurance sectors inched up by 0.02% and 0.01% respectively. On the other hand, the Real Estate sector experienced a slight decline of 0.06%, and Telecoms fell by 0.27%.
By 10:00 am, the trading volume amounted to 25.764 million shares across 3,191 transactions, with a total value of QR 60.558 million.
