The rabbis said in the letter: ‘God has blessed us with the grace that the location of the Temple is under Jewish control,’ claiming that the duty of the occupying state requires that ‘offering the Passover sacrifice is a supreme national interest,’ stressing that offering these sacrifices at Al-Aqsa is considered one of the most important commandments of the Torah.
The Hebrew Passover begins this evening and continues for 8 days, and the first day of this holiday is considered the most important date for presenting Passover offerings.
Extremist Temple groups had called on their supporters to gather today, Monday,
at 10:30 at night, in preparation for an attempt to storm Al-Aqsa Mosque at midnight to slaughter sacrifices inside the mosque, and announced a reward of 50,000 shekels for whoever is able to carry out this ritual inside Al-Aqsa throughout the Eid period.
