Reef Saudi Concludes Program on Irrigation Techniques and Water Needs for Aromatic Plant Crops in Jazan

A training program organized by the Sustainable Agricultural Rural Development Program (Reef Saudi) on irrigation techniques and water needs for aromatic plant crops in Jazan concluded today. This program was part of a project to enhance the capabilities of the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture in implementing sustainable rural agricultural development programs. The three-day program, conducted at the Jazan Agricultural Research Center, aimed to equip participants with essential skills and knowledge for effectively utilizing irrigation techniques and understanding the water needs of aromatic plant crops. The program featured various interactive sessions on irrigation techniques and water requirements for aromatic plant crops, including an introduction to the irrigation techniques used in the Kingdom, how to select the appropriate irrigation techniques for crops and an overview of using treated water in irrigation and crops' water needs. It also covered the basics of irrigation and water requ irements, principles of good agricultural practices, and integrated management of aromatic plant farms.
