SASO Showcases AI Innovations in HVAC Efficiency

The Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) has recently presented groundbreaking research at the 20th International Conference on Artificial Intelligence Applications and Innovations (AIAI) in Greece. The presented paper detailed the development of an artificial-intelligence (AI) model called ANNS that can simulate energy efficiency tests for air conditioners and predict their performance before physical testing is conducted. The ANNS model, reviewed by experts from the General Directorate of Laboratories, can verify test results in minutes compared to the days required for traditional retesting methods. This breakthrough aims to save time and resources and increase research capacity. The AI model was used to predict the energy efficiency of air conditioners under varying conditions and temperatures. It enabled the study of factors that can improve cooling capacity while reducing energy consumption. These insights are key for product development and optimizing energy use in the Kingdom o f Saudi Arabia. The conference presentation garnered significant interest from researchers and industry specialists, further enhancing SASO's reputation as a leading center for research and development. This achievement reinforces Saudi Arabia's scientific and technical capabilities and builds trust within the local and global communities. Source: Saudi Press Agency
