Riyadh: The Saudi Stock Exchange's main index closed higher on Wednesday, marking an increase of 114.81 points to reach 11,224.45 points by the end of trading. The day's trading activities saw a total value of SR 5.6 billion.
According to Qatar News Agency, approximately 310 million shares were traded on the market. Among the listed companies, 137 saw an increase in their share values, while 109 companies experienced a decline.
In contrast, the parallel Saudi Stock Exchange Index, Nomu, closed lower. It dropped by 88.34 points, ending at 27,287.50 points. The Nomu trading activities were valued at SR 22 million, with the volume of traded shares exceeding three million.
