Riyadh: Vice Speaker of the Shura Council Dr. Mishaal bin Fahm Al-Sulami met with the First Deputy Speaker of the Greek Parliament, Ioannis Plakiotakis, and his accompanying delegation of the Parliamentary Friendship Committee of the Greek Parliament today at his office in the Shura Council. This meeting took place within the framework of the official visit to the Kingdom, upon the invitation of Al-Sulami.
During the meeting, the vice speaker emphasized the deep-rooted historical and close relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Hellenic Republic, particularly at the parliamentary level. He underscored the importance of parliamentary diplomacy in enhancing and supporting relations between the two friendly countries across various levels.
Plakiotakis expressed his pleasure in visiting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, hailing the historical relations between the Hellenic Republic and the Kingdom, founded on solid foundations of respect, shared values, and common interests.
Discussions during the me
eting also addressed the fraternal relations between the two countries and explored prospects for cooperation across various fields, particularly at the parliamentary level. Additionally, several issues of mutual interest were discussed.
