Doha:Tanzanian Prime Minister Dr. Mwigulu Nchemba emphasized the strong cooperative relations between Tanzania and Qatar, expressing interest in further developing these ties, particularly in private-sector cooperation and investment.
According to Qatar News Agency, Dr. Nchemba made these remarks during a meeting with a Qatar Chamber delegation led by Mohamed bin Twar Al Kuwari, First Vice Chairman of Qatar Chamber.
Dr. Nchemba highlighted the significant potential for collaboration between the two countries, noting that Tanzania offers investment opportunities in sectors such as food security, energy, and infrastructure.
Mohamed bin Twar Al Kuwari welcomed the visit of the Tanzanian Prime Minister to Qatar, stating that it would enhance cooperation between the two nations, especially at the private-sector level. He pointed out that Tanzania's rich natural resources and investment opportunities make it a promising destination for Qatari investors.
Al Kuwari also mentioned the interest of Qatari business owners in investing in Tanzania, particularly in sectors with attractive investment incentives. He suggested the possibility of organizing a Qatari business delegation to visit Tanzania to explore these opportunities.
During the meeting, Ebrahim Mafuru, Director General of the Tanzania Trade and Investment Authority, discussed the Tanzanian economy's key features and the economic and trade cooperation between Qatar and Tanzania, highlighting potential exports to Qatar and available investment opportunities across various sectors.
