Doha: Weather inshore until 6:00 pm on Sunday will be hazy to misty at places at first, scattered clouds, and hot with a chance of local convective cloud development and thundery rain at places during the afternoon, the Department of Meteorology said in its daily weather report. The report warned of expected thundery rain at places during the afternoon.
According to Qatar News Agency, offshore conditions will be partly cloudy with hazy periods. Winds inshore are expected to be variable at first, shifting to southeasterly-northeasterly at 05-15 KT, gusting to 25 KT with thundery rain. Offshore winds will be southeasterly-northeasterly at 05-15 KT, gusting to 20 KT at times.
The sea state inshore is predicted to be 1-3 ft, rising to 4 ft at times, while offshore conditions will range from 2-4 ft, rising to 6 ft at times. Visibility inshore will range from 4-9 km, dropping to 3 km or less during thundery rain, while offshore visibility will remain between 4-9 km.
