London: HE Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Sir Keir Starmer affirmed that the state visit of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to the UK is an opportunity to further strengthen ties between the two countries. According to Qatar News Agency, HE the UK Prime Minister told QNA that his country highly values its relationship with Qatar and that the state visit of HH the Amir presents an opportunity to accelerate progress on mutual priorities, including economic growth, which creates opportunities for both countries, as well as regional security, which supports global stability. HE Sir Keir Starmer said that bilateral relations have brought significant benefits to both the UK and Qatar, and looked forward to more in the future. Concluding his statement to QNA, His Excellency emphasized that bilateral relations could be further solidified by establishing deeper cultural ties, increasing mutual investments, and continuing close cooperation in security and defense.
