US President Joe Biden expressed his optimism on Saturday on the possibility of reaching a solution to the debt ceiling crisis to avoid Washington defaulting on its debts, despite the stalled talks between the White House and republicans in the House of Representatives.

On the sidelines of G7 summit in Hiroshima city of Japan, Biden told the journalists that he still thinks US will able to avoid Washington defaulting on its debts.

The US debt crisis is expected to top the agenda of the leaders of G7 summit meeting in Japan, specially that Washington defaulting on its debts by next June will affect the financial markets.

Meanwhile, speaker of the US House of Representatives Kevin McCarthy revealed that the republicans have temporarily suspended their talks with the White House about increasing debt ceiling, emphasizing that no more money can be spent next year.
