Bybit Launches Unified Trading Fest: Unlock $700K Prize Pool and Optimize Trades

DUBAI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES – Media OutReach – 8 March 2023 – Bybit, the world’s third most visited crypto exchange, is proud to announce the launch of its first Unified Trading Fest competition. With over $700,000 in rewards up for grabs, this is an event for all Bybit traders. The 2-week-long competition starts on March 8th and ends on March 25th.

The competition offers a unique trading experience, allowing users to optimize their trades with Bybit’s new unified trading account (UTA). The UTA allows traders to manage their positions across both spot and derivatives trading with one single account. During the competition, users will be ranked based on their total trading volume during the two-week period.

Bybit has claimed the no. 2 spot in futures and perpetuals trading several times this year with daily trading volume totaling tens of billions of dollars thanks to its deep liquidity and split-second trading engine. Indeed, Bybit recorded its highest-ever market share in crypto derivative markets at 14.6% in January 2023.

The event is open to all users trading either spot (excluding USDC/USDT, BUSD/USDT, DAI/USDT, WBTC/BTC, and all USDC Spot pairs) or derivatives (USDC and USDT contracts). To qualify for rewards, traders must hit a total trading volume of at least $1,000 during the two weeks. And those who upgrade to UTA and hit a minimum trading volume of $10,000 on perpetual contracts will be eligible for an extra 50,000 USDC prize pool.

The higher a trader’s total volume is, the better their rank on the leaderboard, and the more rewards get unlocked. The prize pool for this competition includes both ranking prizes as well as random draw prizes for top participants who meet certain criteria, so there are multiple chances to win.

UAE condemns ongoing Israeli storming of Jenin camp

The UAE condemned the ongoing Israeli storming of Jenin camp, which resulted in deaths and injuries.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MoFAIC) called on Israeli authorities to halt escalation and avoid exacerbating tension and instability in the region.

The Ministry stressed the importance of supporting all regional and international efforts to advance the Middle East Peace Process, as well as putting an end to illegal practices that threaten the two-state solution and establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.

UAE President receives Mauritanian counterpart

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan today received President Mohamed Ould Ghazouani of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, who is on a working visit to the UAE.

The two leaders discussed the path of bilateral ties and opportunities for furthering and advancing them across the economic, trade, investment and developmental sectors in order to serve mutual interests and the aspirations of their peoples.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and the Mauritanian President took stock of the latest regional and global issues of mutual concern and exchanged views on them.

The meeting was attended by Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Ali Mohammed Hammad Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for National Security; Dr. Anwar Gargash, Diplomatic Advisor to the UAE President.

MoFAIC receives credentials copy from the new the Apostolic Nuncio to the UAE

UAE’s ‘Operation Gallant Knight/2’: 30 days of continued support, solidarity with Syria

In response to the earthquake that struck Syria last month, which resulted in fatalities, injuries, and building destruction, ‘Operation Gallant Knight/2’ just finished its 30th day of non-stop assistance.

The Operation is one of the most significant forms of support provided by the UAE for the Syrian people, whereby 151 aircraft carrying essential foodstuffs, medicines, and medical supplies totalling 4,925 tonnes were flown.

In the wake of the earthquake, a UAE Search and Rescue squad was dispatched to look for survivors among the wreckage of the collapsed structures. The UAE then gave the search and rescue equipment used in the “Gallant Knight 2” operations to the Syrian Civil Defence. Intensive training courses were also organised to prepare the Syrian Civil Defence teams for any potential disaster in the future.

The Emirates Red Crescent played a major role in delivering food supplies to the affected, meeting their essential needs, assisting hospitals with medications and medical supplies, as well as establishing a camp with 50 tents as a temporary refuge for the earthquake victims.

The UAE also provided Syria with 10 ambulances outfitted with cutting-edge technology to help those impacted by the earthquake.

The UAE continues to provide food, medical supplies, and medications on a regular basis, identify the needs of the healthcare sector, and provide the required medications to support the brotherly people of Syria during the recovery and rehabilitation phase.

UAE President receives Olena Zelenska; directs $4 million of humanitarian aid to children in Ukraine

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan today met with Olena Zelenska, the First Lady of Ukraine and Chairwoman of the Olena Zelenska Foundation, who is visiting the UAE to participate in the Forbes 30/50 Summit in Abu Dhabi this week.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed greeted Mrs Zelenska at the Qasr Al Bahr majlis and was briefed on the human consequences of the Ukrainian crisis, particularly with regard to children.

The UAE President directed that $4 million be allocated for the care of children affected by the crisis in support of one of the Foundation’s projects, known as “Family-Type Orphanages,” which will contribute to the construction of 10 buildings that will house approximately 100 children.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed reiterated the UAE’s commitment to the people of Ukraine through ongoing humanitarian aid, while stressing the importance of international and regional efforts aimed at reaching a political solution to re-establish security, stability and peace.

Mrs Zelenska thanked Sheikh Mohamed for his support and humanitarian position throughout the crisis, as well as the UAE’s provision of aid to Ukrainian refugees in neighbouring countries.

During her visit, the Ukrainian First Lady will meet with members of the Ukrainian community living in the UAE.

The meeting was attended by H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation; and Mariam bint Mohammed Almheiri, Minister of Climate Change and the Environment.
