A fisherman was injured by a rubber bullet in the sea north of Gaza

On Saturday evening, a fisherman was injured by a metal bullet fired by Israeli naval soldiers towards fishermen’s boats in the sea north of Gaza.

The coordinator of the fishermen’s committees, Zakaria Bakr, said: A fisherman was injured by a metal bullet, after the occupation forces fired live and metal bullets at fishermen’s boats in the open sea in the northern Gaza Strip.

It is noteworthy that this is the third time today that occupation soldiers have opened fire on fishing boats in the sea north of Gaza

4 people were arrested. Police raided a drug trafficking den in Bethlehem

This afternoon, the police raided a den used for drug trade and promotion in one of the governorate’s areas and arrested 4 drug dealers and dealers inside it.

The Police Public Relations and Media Department stated that, based on information available to the Anti-Narcotics Branch of the Governorate Police, there were a number of drug dealers and dealers inside one of the dens, which is a shop selling vehicle parts in one of the governorate’s areas near the tunnel checkpoint in the city of Beit Jala.

A force from the branch moved at the head of a force from the governorate police after obtaining an inspection report from the Public Prosecution for the site.

During the raid on the den, 4 people were arrested and a quantity of narcotic substances, sums of money, cell phones, and electronic devices were seized, in addition to two illegal vehicles. One of those arrested was a person wanted by justice for two years and a judicial warrant was issued against him.

The police call on citizens to report the promoters and dealers of these substances and their users, and confirm that they will pursue everyone who deals with such substances and hold them legally accountable

Palestine and Italy discuss joint tourism cooperation

Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Rula Maaya, on Saturday, discussed joint tourism cooperation with the Special Envoy for the Tourism Sector in the Promotional Committee for Rome’s bid to host Expo 2030, Alessandro Mancini and the accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, Maayah stressed the importance of tourism promotion for Palestine and its tourism sector, due to the potential that the tourism sector possesses to attract tourist groups from various countries of the world, and the unique tourist and archaeological sites in the world that Palestine embraces, such as the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, the Churches of the Resurrection and the Nativity, and the Ibrahimi Mosque.

She pointed out that the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities is doing great work to advance the tourism situation, by preparing plans and programs at several levels, especially programs and plans for tourism promotion for the Palestinian tourism sector and building direct networking channels with tourism agencies from various countries of the year.

Maayah touched on the tourism marketing plan adopted by Palestine to promote tourism, by opening new markets, overcoming obstacles facing the Palestinian tourism sector, and participating in international tourism events.

She stressed that the Ministry seeks to make the tourist’s experience in Palestine unique and rich, so that he returns to his homeland carrying a beautiful picture of Palestine, its people, and its people, and being informed of the historical injustice its people suffer from.

In turn, the Italian delegation was briefed on the activities and programs undertaken by Italy to support Rome’s bid to host Expo 2030 and the opportunities available to develop tourism through this exhibition, by promoting tourism programs including Italy and Palestine to the countries of East Asia and Latin America.

Mancini stressed the need to develop joint work between the two sides to open new horizons that work to enhance joint work between the two sides

Saudi Informatics Team Competing at International Olympiad in Hungary

The Saudi informatics team, comprising Adeeb Al-Shehri, Hameed Al-Hudhali, Eissa Al-Moussa, and Djouri Al-Juhani, is competing in the 35th edition of the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI 2023) held in Hungary with the participation of 360 male and female students from 90 countries.

The Saudi talents are participating for the fifth time in the activities of the IOI, the world’s most prestigious computer science competition for under-20 secondary-school students.

The IOI provides students with an opportunity to enhance their information science skills through problem analysis, algorithm design, data structures, programming, and testing.

Each participant is tasked with handling three assignments that involve problems to be solved within a five-hour timeframe.

Cultural Mission to U.S. Highlights Experience Sharing Among Scholarship Students

The Cultural Attaché at the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Embassy in Washington, Dr. Fawzi Bukhari, underscored the significant role played by the scientific and life experience sharing among scholarship students.

Bukhari made the remarks in a dialogue session on experiences and ventures held by the attaché in its headquarters in Washington in cooperation with Princess Alanoud Foundation.

In his speech, Bukhari highlighted the knowledge and life experiences that scholarship students acquire as well as their scientific, academic, social, and voluntary contributions.

Bukhari commended the guidance and advice provided by experienced Saudi male and female students through student clubs to their fellow newly-arrived scholarship students.

He added that such efforts by the scholarship students fall within the endeavors of the attaché to raise awareness among scholarship students in order to achieve the best results and contribute to scientific output and human experiences.

The session addressed vital topics, including how scholarship students overcome challenges at the beginning of their mission, presenting essential legal and practical guidelines.

The session also discussed academic excellence, the benefits of volunteering in student clubs, and also the importance that students work both within and outside educational institutions in order to discover and develop their personal skills.

Participants in King Abdulaziz Quran Competition Visit Clock Tower Museum

Participants in the King Abdulaziz International Competition for Memorizing, Reciting, and Interpreting the Holy Quran Friday visited the Makkah Clock Tower Museum.

The visit was part of the cultural programs organized by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawa and Guidance for the 166 participants in the international competition.

The participants toured the museum and were briefed about the Clock Tower’s time measurement methods.

Syrian tribes reject all forms of occupation, support Army

Syrian tribes in Aleppo countryside said on Friday that they are committed to restore al-Jazeera to the Syrian State’s sovereignty, supporting any uprising by citizens of al-Jazeera to liberate every part of the Syrian territory.

Clans of Al-Bou Shaaban and Al- Bou Sheikh said in a statement following a forum they held under the motto “No to the US or Turkish occupation of Syrian territory,” they stand by the Syrian State, the Army and its allies under the leadership of President Bashar al-Assad against the illegitimate presence of any occupation on Syrian lands.

The statement condemned practices of the U.S. occupation and its tools who loot Syrian resources, affirming that these resources, of oil and wheat, are the ownership of the Syrian people.

Temperatures to drop, misty weather in some regions

Temperatures will slightly drop as the country is affected by the Indian seasonal superficial low air pressure accompanied by southwestern air currents in the upper parts of the atmosphere.

“The weather will be relatively hot, skies will be clear to partly cloudy in general in the coastal region, while it will be misty in the eastern and al-Badia regions, at night the weather will be moderate with a high humidity in the western regions, fog is expected in the early morning in the central region,” Meteorology Department said Saturday.

The wind will be westerly to southwesterly with low to a moderate speed, the sea waves will be low in amplitude

The expected temperatures in some Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 36/18, Daraa 33/19, Homs 31/19, Hasaka 40/25, Tartous 31/25, Deir Ezzor 40/24.

An officer injured in an explosive device blast in Sasaa, Damascus countryside

Director of Sasaa town in Damascus countryside was injured on Saturday in an explosive device blast stuck to his car by terrorists in Hineh village of, Qatana area.

“An explosive device, which was stuck to the car of Sa’saa town Director, Muhammad Al-Ahmad, went off, Internal Ministry said in a statement. The officer was admitted to one of Damascus hospitals for treatment, according the statement.

Syria wins bronze medal in World University Taekwondo Championship

Shams Ahmad, the Syrian team taekwondo player won a bronze medal in the World University Championship, held currently in Russia .

Shams Ahmed, a student from al-Baath University, won the bronze medal of the World Championship, after being participated via the National Union of Syrian Students, head of Taekwondo Federation, Sherif Derki, said in a statement to SANA.

Derki added that Shams is a distinguished player and won various medals in local and Arab championships.
