Kuwait Bourse Sees Slight Gains Amid Mixed Market Performance

Kuwait city: Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Sunday as the All Share Index gained 2.76 points to reach 8,841.71 points, an increase of 0.03 percent.

According to Qatar News Agency, the trading session saw a total of 335.6 million shares exchanged, with a market value of KWD 86 million, approximately USD 280.5 million, across 18,921 transactions. The Main Market Index experienced a rise of 31.01 points, closing at 8,896.31 points, marking an increase of 0.35 percent. This movement was driven by 206.3 million shares traded in 12,627 transactions, valued at KWD 41.4 million, or roughly USD 133.3 million.

Conversely, the Premier Market Index witnessed a slight decline, losing 3.11 points to settle at 9,294.75 points, down by 0.03 percent. This decline occurred with 129.3 million shares changing hands through 6,294 transactions, valued at KWD 44.6 million, which is approximately USD 145.4 million.

The Bourse Main 50 Index, however, recorded a gain of 87.49 points, reaching 10,512.01 points, an increase of 0.84 percent. This gain was achieved through a stock volume of 161.3 million shares, completed in 9,065 deals, with a total value of KWD 33.1 million, equivalent to USD 107.9 million.
