Kuwait City: Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Sunday with a significant decline, as the All Share Index dropped 412.84 points to settle at 7,587.89 points, marking a 5.16 percent decrease.
According to Qatar News Agency, trading activity saw a total of 346.7 million shares exchanged, with a value amounting to KWD 96.5 million, approximately USD 297.2 million, across 22,874 transactions. The Main Market Index also experienced a downturn, falling by 192.66 points to 7,013.23 points, a decrease of 2.67 percent. This was achieved through 130.8 million shares traded via 8,617 transactions, valued at KWD 15.3 million, or roughly USD 47.12 million.
The Premier Market Index saw a sharper decline, shedding 488.79 points to reach 8,106.08 points, down by 5.69 percent. This was the result of trading 215.9 million shares through 14,257 transactions, with a total value of KWD 81.5 million, approximately USD 251 million.
Additionally, the Main 50 Index fell by 376.43 points, ending at 6,656.38 points, a reduction of 5.35 percent. This decline involved a stock volume of 109.16 million shares across 7,203 deals, valued at KWD 13.5 million, roughly translating to USD 41.5 million.
