Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) closed its trading session on Sunday with a significant decline, as the index fell by 432.94 points, or 4.23 percent, to end at 9,800.01 points.
According to Qatar News Agency, the trading session witnessed a total of 234,117,520 shares being exchanged, amounting to a value of QR 554,901,216.170. This activity was spread across 29,749 transactions that spanned all sectors of the market.
The day’s trading results were marked by a broad sell-off, with the shares of only one company rising, while 52 companies saw their shares decline. Additionally, the shares of three companies remained unchanged from their previous closing prices.
By the end of the session, the market capitalization had decreased to QR 575,413,173,853, in comparison to QR 600,704,002,913.641 from the previous session, reflecting the substantial impact of the day’s trading activities.
