One Killed in Israeli Strike on Eastern Lebanon

Beirut: One person was killed on Monday in an Israeli strike on a town in eastern Lebanon.

According to Qatar News Agency, Lebanese National News Agency reported that an Israeli drone targeted the "Shmeiseh" area in the town of Sahmar in Bekaa Governorate, resulting in one fatality.

A ceasefire agreement in Lebanon came into effect on November 27 last year, stipulating the withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from southern border villages and towns within 60 days. The Lebanese government later agreed to extend the deadline until February 18; however, the Israeli occupation army remained stationed at five points and continues to violate the agreement.
