Doha: Qatari Chamber Acting General Manager Ali Saeed Bu Sharbak Al Mansouri recently met with Kemal Kutlyyev, Head of Foreign Economic Analytics and Information Department at the Turkmenistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Kutlyyev, leading a trade delegation of Turkmen companies, visited Qatar to discuss enhancing trade and investment cooperation.
According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting was attended by several Qatari businessmen and focused on strengthening bilateral trade and economic relations. The discussions explored the investment climate and opportunities in both countries, highlighting potential areas for cooperation between Qatari and Turkmen companies. The meeting underscored the significant role of the private sector in expanding trade exchanges.
The Turkmen delegation included representatives from 10 companies operating in sectors such as food, green houses, agriculture, fertilizers, livestock, and consulting. Ali Al Mansouri emphasized the mutual interest of business communities in both countries to expand trade relations and noted the attractive investment climate that supports strategic trade partnerships.
Al Mansouri expressed the interest of Qatari business owners in exploring investment opportunities in Turkmenistan, particularly in tourism, sports, real estate, agriculture, and food. He reiterated Qatar Chamber’s commitment to assisting Turkmen companies interested in the Qatari market by providing market data and insights into available opportunities.
Kemal Kutlyyev highlighted the importance of developing trade relations and the private sector’s role in advancing joint economic projects. He emphasized the potential of the Qatari market and the significant opportunities available for both sides. Kutlyyev noted that the delegation includes companies from sectors such as food and beverages, agriculture, livestock, and legal consultancy, aiming to enhance collaboration and activate the existing MoU between the two chambers.
The Turkmen delegation also delivered presentations on the textile industry, showcasing the Ministry of Textiles Industry of Turkmenistan and its 60 specialized factories. The delegation expressed readiness to export Turkmen products to Qatar, ensuring high quality and competitive prices.
