Qatari Driver Ahmed Al Muhannadi Wins Gold in TopJet F2.0 Trophy

Italy: Qatari driver Ahmed Shahin Al Muhannadi was honored at the awards ceremony for the 9th edition of the TopJet F2.0 Formula Trophy 2024 season, held recently at the Tazio Nuvolari Circuit in Italy, following his victory in the overall gold category of Formula 3. According to Qatar News Agency, Al Muhannadi was among 12 drivers recognized for claiming titles in the competition's 12 categories, in a season that witnessed record participation from European drivers and attracted prominent names in motorsports. The Qatari driver secured the gold category title in Formula 3 by topping the overall standings with 250 points, winning six out of the eight races in the championship. He finished 8 points ahead of his closest rival, Italian Edoardo Bonanomi, who came second with 242 points, while another Italian driver, Giancarlo Benedetti, claimed third place with 191.2 points. Expressing his delight at this achievement, Al Muhannadi described it as a new chapter in his sports career, especially after earning the opportunity to participate in the American IndyCar Series, a significant step towards higher levels of global competition.
