QSE Index Opens Lower Amid Mixed Sector Performances

Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index declined by 0.15% at the beginning of Monday trading, losing 17.02 points compared to the previous session close, dropping to the level of 10,960 points under pressure from four sectors.

According to Qatar News Agency, figures from QSE showed a positive performance for the transportation sector by 0.43%, the telecommunications sector by 0.15%, and the real estate sector by 0.07%. On the other hand, performance was negative for the insurance sector by 0.02%, the consumer goods and services sector by 0.10%, the industrial sector by 0.17%, and the banking and financial services sector by 0.27%.

At 10:00 AM, QSE recorded 2,946 transactions worth QAR 49.553 million, distributed over 18.279 million shares.
