Israel Launches Fresh Attacks on Southern Lebanon

Doha: Israel has launched fresh attacks on villages and towns in southern Lebanon, with an Israeli drone striking Aitaroun town and continuously hovering at an extremely low altitude over the towns of Ghassaniyeh, Kaouthariyet, es-Siyad and Khartoum, the Lebanese National News Agency reported.

According to Qatar News Agency, a ceasefire deal came into force in southern Lebanon on Nov. 27, under which the Israeli occupation forces should have pulled out from border villages and towns within a 60-day deadline. The Lebanese government had agreed to extend the deadline until Feb. 18, yet the Israeli occupation army maintained its posture at five points and continues to breach the deal.
