Riyadh: The northwestern sector of the National Water Company (NWC) announced its readiness to provide water and environmental services to pilgrims and visitors to the Prophet’s Mosque and religious sites in Madinah this Hajj season, 1445 H.

According to NWC, the operational plan for this year’s Hajj season includes regular pumping and distribution of water, prioritizing the central area and religious sites, as well as continuous coordination with water desalination entities to ensure the availability of strategic storage quantities exceeding 2.8 million cubic meters.

The plan, implemented by over 1,200 qualified employees, also includes performing maintenance of all pipes leading to important sites.

The water laboratory continuously checks the quality of water around the clock, at an average of no less than 21,000 tests per month, or some 700 tests a day, conducting chemical and biological analyses to ensure that the water is fit for drinking.
