Belgorod: Russian authorities announced that two people were injured in a Ukrainian missile attack on the city of Belgorod in western Russia.
According to Qatar News Agency, Belgorod Regional Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov stated via Telegram that two civilians were injured in the attack. A man sustained injuries from shrapnel in the stomach, and a woman is also believed to be injured. Gladkov also warned residents of potential delays in missile and drone attack alerts, highlighting the challenging situation in the region.
The missile attack significantly disrupted electricity supplies in Belgorod, prompting efforts to convert vital infrastructure to backup generation to maintain essential services.
Due to the ongoing conflict and fighting since February 2022, reports and information from both Russia and Ukraine regarding field data are conflicting and remain difficult to verify from independent sources.
