The Ministry of Municipality, represented by the General Cleanliness Department, has intensified its efforts during the Qatar National Day Celebrations 18-19 December 2021.
The Department invested all its efforts to clean and sweep the main streets, wash all containers located in the distributed points. This is in addition to gathering and unloading a great number of containers. The Department committed itself to undertake the general cleanliness works round the clock during the National Day holiday. These efforts lead to the removal of (240) tons of various waste. The campaign was participated by a group of 470 cleaning agents using 32 sweepers, 21 cars to collect the waste, 29 supervisors, and 53 drivers.
