HBKU Hosts Numerous Ramadan Activities Open to General Public

Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) will be hosting several activities open to the public at the College of Islamic Studies’ (CIS) Minaretein Center in Education City, including workshops, seminars, and even a zero-waste community Iftar, throughout the Holy Month of Ramadan.

Minaretein Center is proud to invite the community to a unique Zero-waste Iftar this year, where all used material will be composted and recycled, reducing the environmental impact and ultimately leaving a positive mark on the world.

Participants will enjoy a delicious meal and connect with members of the community, and will also have the opportunity to contribute to a sustainable future. Iftars will be powered by volunteers, making it a truly communal effort that brings people together to give back to the earth.

Education City Mosque welcomes the community this Ramadan and plans to deliver a wholesome Taraweeh and Qiyaam experience for the faithful, featuring beautiful recitations given by our Imams led by Sheikh Haitham Al Dokhain.

To maintain focus and concentration for the entire community, there will be a separate area where parents can accompany their kids under the age of 10.

This nightly series highlights the unique personality of the Prophet (PBUH) and ethical values and life-lessons contained within his Sirah. College of Islamic Studies Students will moderate discussions with a unique guest scholar every night this Ramadan in the Minaratein building’s courtyard. The program starts immediately after Taraweeh prayers.
