Manama, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa issued Royal Decree (46) of 2024, restructuring the Board of Trustees of the Government Hospitals Administrations, based on a proposal of the Prime Minister, and following the approval of the Cabinet.
Article I
The Board of Trustees of the Government Hospitals Administrations shall be chaired by Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulaziz Al Khalifa, and include the following members:
1- Undersecretary of the Minister of Health as Deputy Chairperson
2- Assistant Undersecretary of Financial Operations at the Ministry of Finance and National Economy
3- Director General of the Organisation and Position Budget at the Civil Service Bureau (CSB)
4- Major Hisham Ibrahim Al Jasim from the Ministry of Interior
5- Director of the Health Strategic Evaluation Directorate at the General Secretariat of the Supreme Council of Health (SCH)
6- Dr. Farzana Abdulkareem Al Sayed
The membership term of the board shall last for four years and in the event of the chairperson’s absence or i
nability to perform duties, the deputy chairperson shall assume the chairperson’s responsibilities.
Article II
The Chairperson and Board of Trustees members shall receive a compensation based on the guidelines outlined in Edict (25) of 2015, regarding compensations for chairpersons and members of government boards and committees, the responsibilities of the relevant government entities and implementation procedures.
Article III
The Prime Minister and Minister, each in their capacity, shall implement this decree, which will be effective upon its issuance, and be published in the Official Gazette.
