Military Strategic Partnership Conference 2023 Kicks-off in Doha

Doha, March 13 (QNA) – Hosted by the State of Qatar in cooperation with the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), the events of the five-day Military Strategic Partnership Conference (MSPC) 2023 and Exhibition kicked off on Monday.

HE Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Staff Lieutenant General (Pilot) Salem bin Hamad bin Aqeel Al Nabit participated in the opening session of the conference.

The conference aims to enhance and highlight the State of Qatar’s role as a strategic ally for international peace and security, in addition to strengthening bilateral and multilateral cooperation between NATO and its leaders, and allied and partner countries.

The conference, in which more than 35 of NATO’s partner countries are participating, will address several topics related to the present, future and directions of partnership of NATO, maritime security and building defense capabilities from NATO’s perspective, and a review of current views on partnerships, updates of new systems, the strategic direction of the alliance and developments in its training.

The conference will also highlight partnerships in energy security, cooperation, factors and topics related to cybersecurity, the NATO Social Forum approach to capacity building, considerations and perspectives, as well as good governance and integrity in the alliance and its building initiatives.

The conference will include a range of panel discussions focusing on: NATO advisory support and assistance to partners, education and training and NATO partners, and how access to programs can be improved and designed to meet mutual needs as well as developing flexibility within the world of partnership and strategic communication.
