QSE Index Drops 48.31 Points at Start of Trading

Doha, – The general index of Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) dropped 48.31 points, or 0.49%, at the beginning of trading on Thursday to reach the level of 9,823 points, compared to yesterday’s closing.

The performance of QSE general index was weighed down by a decline in six sectors: Consumer Goods and Services by 0.81%; Industrials by 0.55%; Telecoms by 0.52%; Real Estate by 0.37%; Bank and Financial Services by 0.36%; and Transportation by 0.22%. Insurance rose by 0.43%.

At 10:00 am, Qatar Stock Exchange recorded 2,069 transactions worth QR 61.550 million, distributed to 18,586 million shares.
