RHF set to send urgent relief aid to flood-affected Libyans

The Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF) is set to dispatch a relief-aid consignment to flood-hit Libyans.

The move is in line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to dispatch urgent humanitarian relief aid to the Libyan people to help alleviate their suffering in the aftermath of the devastating floods that swept the northeastern region in Libya, leaving many people dead, injured or missing, and causing massive damage to infrastructure and institutions.

RHF Secretary-General, Dr. Mustapha Al Sayyed, asserted that the RHF, led by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, has already contacted and coordinated with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees to dispatch a humanitarian aid shipment to the flood-affected Libyans as soon as possible to alleviate their suffering.

He indicated that the RHF had made all the necessary arrangements to deliver urgent humanitarian aid to the flood-hit Libyans, in cooperation with the relevant ministries and entities as soon as possible.

Al-Sayed affirmed that the RHF, led by HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad, would spare no effort to support those afflicted by floods and torrential rain in eastern Libya, by dispatching the urgent relief aid to reduce their suffering.
