The Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY) has organized a training course for radiologists at the Marib General Hospital Authority, with the aim of providing participants with the necessary skills to operate MRI equipment.
The course is part of a project to prepare the radiology and MRI department and equip it with all medical devices, thus contributing to offering better healthcare to communities in Marib Governorate.
The course is also part of SDRPY’s ongoing efforts to develop the professional competence of workers in the healthcare field, and support the health sector in Yemen.
Under the program, 34 projects and development initiatives were carried out in various Yemeni governorates. In Marib Governorate, the Kara General Hospital was supplied with 24 medical devices, 27 medical devices were provided to the September 26 Hospital, and 13 medical devices were given to the Marib General Hospital Authority; moreover, these hospitals were given fully equipped ambulances, one each, in a bid to increase the efficiency of the governorate’s medical services, speed of emergency response, improve access to treatment, and facilitate access to medical services.
SDRPY has implemented 229 development projects and initiatives in various Yemeni governorates, helping the Yemeni people benefit from services in the fields of education, health, water, energy, transport, agriculture and fisheries, and boosting the capacity of public institutions.
