HE Special Envoy of the Minister of Foreign Affairs for Counterterrorism and Mediation in Conflict Resolution Dr. Mutlaq bin Majed Al Qahtani has expressed the appreciation of the state of Qatar of the High Transitional Authorities in Chad approval of its call for the postponement of the comprehensive national dialogue, to be held in the capital, N’Djamena, on the tenth of May.
In a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA) today, HE Al Mutlaq said the call for the postponement came on the basis of the current indicators in the Doha negotiations, which are progressing at good pace and making tangible progress, in order to give the participating parties more time to reach a peace agreement in preparation for the convening of the comprehensive national dialogue. in N’Djamena.
He reiterated the State of Qatar’s full support for Chad’s efforts in this political process, to achieve the aspirations of its people for peace, security and stability, and Qatar’s appreciation for the commitment of the Military Council and the Chadian government to the course of the Doha peace negotiations in Chad.
