H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed receives Brunei Darussalam’s Second Minister of Foreign Affairs

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, has received Dato Erywan Yusof, the Second Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Brunei Darussalam.

Held in Dubai, the meeting discussed ways to boost bilateral relations between the two countries, as well as a number of regional and international issues of mutual concern.

During the meeting, Sheikh Abdullah praised the holding of the first UAE–Brunei Darussalam Joint Committee Meeting, highlighting its importance in activating cooperation and constructive dialogue to help advance the common interests of the two countries and benefit their peoples.

He also noted that the bilateral relations are witnessing continued development, supported by their leaderships’ keenness to enhance cooperation in all fields.

In turn, Minister Yusof praised the UAE’s leading status at the regional and international levels, and underscored the close ties that the UAE and his country share, and their keenness to boost their cooperation.

The meeting was attended by Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of State; and Khalid Ghanim Al Ghaith, UAE Ambassador to Malaysia and Non-Resident Ambassador of the UAE to Brunei Darussalam.

MoFAIC receives credentials copy from the new Thai Ambassador

H.E. Khaled Abdullah Belhoul, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation received a copy of the credentials of H.E. Sorayut Chasombat, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the UAE.

Belhoul wished the new Ambassador success in the performance of his duties and in enhancing bilateral relations and cooperation between the UAE and his country.

The newly appointed Thai Ambassador expressed his pleasure at representing his country in the United Arab Emirates, which enjoys a prestigious regional and international position under the visionary policy of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE.

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed receives Greek counterpart

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, has received Nikos Dendias, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece.

During the meeting, which was held in Dubai, the two ministers discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations and cooperation and exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of mutual concern.

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah affirmed that UAE-Greece relations are continuing to grow, driven by the partnership that the two countries share. He also underscored the UAE’s keenness on broadening the scope of their cooperation in all fields to help advance the common interests of their countries and achieve further prosperity for their peoples.

For his part, Dendias highlighted the depth of the UAE-Greek ties, and the keenness of the two countries and their leaderships to strengthen and develop them across all sectors.

Present at the meeting were Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemy, Minister of State for International Cooperation; Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of State; and Sulaiman Hamed Salem Al Mazrouie, UAE Ambassador to Greece.

UAE Ambassador Presents Copy of Credentials to Yemen’s Minister of Foreign Affairs

His Excellency Mohamed Hamad Al Zaabi, UAE Ambassador to Yemen, has presented a copy of his credentials to Yemen’s Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs, H.E. Dr. Ahmad Awad bin Mubarak, as UAE Ambassador to Yemen.

His Excellency Dr. Ahmad bin Mubarak wished H.E. Al Zaabi success in his duties in strengthening bilateral relations between the UAE and the Republic of Yemen in various fields, stressing his country’s readiness to provide all possible support to facilitate his tasks.

For his part, H.E. Al Zaabi expressed his keenness to further strengthen relations between the two countries in various fields.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed cooperation between the UAE and Yemen and discussed ways to achieve the aspirations of the two countries and peoples.

UAE President, King of Jordan discuss bilateral relations in phone call

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, today made a phone call to His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein of Jordan, dealing with the fraternal ties and ways to enhance them in the best interest of the two fraternal countries and peoples.

During the conversation, President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed and King Abdullah II tackled a number of issues of mutual interest.

The two leaders emphasised the strong brotherly bilateral relations between the two countries and peoples, and their joint keenness on boosting cooperation in various domains.

UAE Ambassador Presents Credentials to President of Costa Rica

Her Excellency Rawdha Mohamed Alotaiba presented her credentials as UAE Ambassador to Costa Rica to His Excellency Rodrigo Chaves Robles, President of the Republic of Costa Rica, at the presidential palace in the capital San José.

During the meeting, H.E. Alotaiba conveyed the greetings of UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, as well as their wishes to H.E. President Chaves and the people of Costa Rica for further development and prosperity.

In turn, H.E. President Chaves conveyed his greetings to UAE President H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and expressed his wishes for the people of the UAE to achieve further growth and prosperity.

H.E. President Chaves wished H.E. Alotaiba success in her efforts to enhance ties between the two countries while highlighting his country’s readiness to support her in her duties.

For her part, H.E. Alotaiba expressed her pride at representing the UAE in Costa Rica and underscored her keenness to continue developing bilateral relations in key fields to strengthen friendship between the two countries.

During the meeting, both sides discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations in order to achieve the aspirations of the two countries and peoples.

UAE leaders congratulate President of Kazakhstan on Independence Day

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has sent a message of congratulations to President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on the occasion of his country’s Independence Day.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, dispatched a similar message to President Tokayev, and to Kazakh Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov, on the occasion.

UAE participates in UN Permanent Delegates Meetings with Israeli President and Prime Minister

Her Excellency Ambassador Lana Nusseibeh, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation for Political Affairs and Permanent Representative of the UAE to the United Nations, participated in UN Permanent Delegates meetings with Israeli President H.E. Isaac Herzog and Prime Minister-elect H.E. Benjamin Netanyahu.

In the meetings, H.E. Ambassador Nusseibeh recognized the deepening ties between the UAE and Israel following the signing of the Abraham Accords. She also reviewed the growth in bilateral trade, which reached USD 2 billion in the first 9 months of 2022, as well as the two countries’ extensive cooperation in fields such as science, medicine, agriculture, and tourism.

Her Excellency underscored that the Abraham Accords are premised on an inclusive vision of constructive regional dialogue, coexistence, and cooperation. She added that “the expansion of the Accords can only be achieved by extending their opportunities and benefits across the region, particularly to its youth.”

H.E. Ambassador Nusseibeh also met separately with Tor Wennesland, UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, to receive an update on concerning developments in the Occupied Palestinian Territory – including East Jerusalem – ahead of his briefing to the Security Council next week.

Throughout her engagements, Ambassador Nusseibeh reiterated the UAE’s steadfast commitment to the two-state solution through the creation of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital, in line with UN resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.

The delegation of permanent delegates landed in Israel on Friday, 9 December, following a two-day trip to the UAE hosted by H.E. Ambassador Nusseibeh. During their time in the UAE, delegates met with His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President, and senior officials. They also visited a number of governmental, business, and cultural institutions.

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed receives Saudi Counterpart

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan.

During the meeting, which was held in Abu Dhabi, the two sides discussed the long-standing historic relations between the UAE and Saudi Arabia, in addition to cooperation paths and ways to enhance it in all domains, in light of the distinguished strategic partnership binding the two countries.

They also tackled a number of issues of interest and special dossiers related to joint Arab and GCC cooperation.

Sheikh Abdullah welcomed Prince Faisal, emphasising the strength of fraternal ties between the UAE and Saudi Arabia and the two countries’ leadership and peoples.

Sheikh Abdullah added that the UAE-Saudi relations are strategic, strong and sustainable, which are enhanced continually for the benefit of their countries and peoples, stating that they support security and stability regionally and globally.

The UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs congratulated his Saudi counterpart on the success of the 43rd session of GCC Supreme Council, which would contribute to developing the journey of GCC joint work.

He also congratulated Prince Faisal on the success of the Riyadh Gulf-China Summit for Cooperation and Development and the China-Arab States Summit, while lauding their outcomes and role in boosting fruitful ties between China and countries of the regions, as well as promoting sustainable economic development paths that will reflect positively on the region and enhance its security, stability and prosperity.

Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, Minister of State, attended the meeting.

Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan receives Secretary General of Presidency of Côte d’Ivoire

His Excellency Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State, received His Excellency Abdourahmane Cissé, Secretary General of the Presidency of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, and a delegation of business executives and heads of companies accompanying him, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in Abu Dhabi.

At the beginning of the meeting, His Excellency Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan welcomed His Excellency Abdourahmane Cissé and the delegation, stressing the historic relations that bind the two countries and peoples.

For his part, His Excellency Cissé praised the strong and deep-rooted relations between the two countries and the constructive cooperation at all levels, stressing that there are many ways to support and expand them in various fields.

The two sides discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations between the two countries in areas of common interest and strengthen cooperation in all fields, especially in logistics services, agriculture, and clean and renewable energy.
